Breathe

When you feel stressed, the breath becomes fast and shallow. Upon noticing your stress, you can take a moment to breathe in and out slowly for as many moments as you'd like. This allows you to feel more relaxed and less anxious.

Use the video below to help guide you in following your breath. Breathe in as the circle expands and out as it contracts. This video uses the following model, but please breathe in a way that feels most comfortable for you:

 

1. Inhale deeply for 4 sec

2. Pause for 2 sec.

3. Exhale fully for 4 sec.

4. Pause for 2 sec.

5. Repeat steps 1-4.
